Class Clown Kimberley Twiner Joins the LMA Roster

LMA is thrilled to announce the addition of Kimberly Twiner to our growing roster of talented teachers. Kimberly will be teaching Clown, Improv and Physical Comedy at LMA Melbourne starting in Term 1, 2017.

I am delighted to be working with LMA in 2017, especially since sharing the seriously ridiculous world of clown is critical to surviving these seriously absurd times!

Kimberley Twiner is a clown, physical comedian, director and producer based in Melbourne. With an eagle eye for the ridiculous and an obsession with “finding the game” she is dedicated to contemporary clowning. She is the Founder and Producer of the Orphans of Comedy – PO PO MO CO (Post Post Modern Comedy) Melbourne’s only queer comedy collective.

Kimberley graduated first year studies at the infamous Ecole Philippe Gaulier in 2014, since then she has also completed training at the John Bolton Theatre School in 2015. She has been under the mentorship of prominent, award winning vaudevillian Liz Skitch for the past five years, and has taught clown at the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) and Westside Circus as co-founder of the Melbourne Community Clown Troupe.

Kimberley has created five original physical comedy shows including Givin’ a Bit of Lip, Solo Act: Part One: 1+1=1, Basha, The Baby Girls, The Intensive Intensive Intensive, and she performs regularly on the national and international fringe festival circuit. Her most exciting credit to date has been performing at the inaugural London Clown Festival in 2016.
